sebla arın, was born in Bursa. She graduated from ITU Faculty of Architecture with first degree in 2001. She got her Masters Degree from ITU Department of Architecture, Program of Architectural Design in 2003. In 2015, she completed her Ph.D. in Architectural Design (ITU) with her thesis: “Built Environment Education For Children: A Participatory Model For Bursa” which received “Yılmaz Akkılıç Bursa Researches Award 2016 – Doctoral Dissertation Category”.

 

sebla arın continues her studies as an architect since 2004, and as an academician since 2012. Her research areas are architectural design, design education, participatory architecture, children and architecture. She has been working on architectural and design education for children and youngsters until 2007.

 

Besides design and architectural education sebla arın deals with yoga since 2005 and she has several certificates (RYS200 Yoga Alliance, RCYT Kids Yoga, YACEP Yoga Alliance Yin Yoga) on this subject. She tries to bring different subjects such as design, architecture, art, yoga, body awareness together in order to create an interdisciplinary method in her workshops designed for various age groups.
