This workshop was organized by the collaboration of Nilüfer City Council, Kurtuluş District Committee and Nilüfer Municipality. The location of Görükle Kurtuluş Neighbourhood Park was decided by the residents in the leadership of District Committee. In order to continue the participatory process in design; this workshop was organized for the residents of the neighbourhood on voluntary basis. In the scope of this workshop there was a presentation on the needs of a neighbourhood park, the specific points that ought to be taken into consideration and the participatory design processes in general. In the second section, the participants worked in groups and brainstormed about the requirements list and basic design decisions. The data collected from the workshop was transmitted to the related departments of the municipality and these were reflected to the application project of the park.
